Our 40th year in business
Over the past four decades, our Group has continued to grow in terms of our size, service capability and regional teams – and it’s rewarding to look at where we are today, as a global provider of a range of specialist engineering services. 40 years in Cumbria
Since our founder Andrew Redmayne first established operations in Cumbria in 1983, the region has continued to be important to our growth. We’re extremely proud to have maintained an active part in the Cumbrian business community across the past four decades, as well as supporting many local initiatives.
What’s more, we continue to support the same clients today who we supported when our business first opened its doors. You can find out more about our 40 years in Cumbria, when Egremont Director Rebecca Graves sat down with in-Cumbria business magazine.
NRL over the years
A great deal has changed over the decades, including introducing new services and opening new branches. Our logo has also had a few updates to reflect the decades.

Supporting 40 charities
Keen to mark our 40th year in business in a way that best fits our culture, colleagues came together to collectively support 40 charities throughout 2023.
Where colleagues pledged to raise £500, NRL matched their donation with another £500 – and we’re pleased to have made a number of donations to some great local and national causes that are close to the hearts of our teams.
