The EIC shortlists NRL for Europe and UK energy business scale up award

Engineering recruitment and contracting specialists NRL are celebrating reaching the finals of the Energy Industries Council (EIC) National Awards in the Scale Up category.

The Europe and UK ceremony for the EIC’s annual awards, part of the World Energy Supply Chain Awards, are hosted in London each year. Additional ceremonies are taking place regionally in Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, Houston and Rio de Janeiro, with energy companies and the wider supply chain recognised under several award categories.

NRL caught the attention of the judging panel following their inclusion in the EIC’s Survive & Thrive report, where they shared how they have scaled up their delivery of Major Component Exchange (MCE) wind turbine maintenance support across Europe, from initially supplying recruitment services to taking over MCE supervision through a specially designed contracting solution. Introducing a new service and revenue stream, whilst allowing them to deliver a more responsive service to their client that positions them strategically for further business growth.

Discussing the award shortlist, NRL’s CEO David Redmayne welcomed the news.

This isn’t the first time the NRL Group have been shortlisted in the EIC’s National Awards, having won the Diversification award in 2021 when their Non-Destructive Testing business established a new innovative Ultrasonic inspection and qualification service to support mechanical and piping component testing on nuclear new build sites.

The Europe and UK 2024 award winners will be announced at a ceremony on Thursday 10th October.
